About college:College of Engineering, Pune, established in 1854, is an autonomous institute under the government of Maharashtra. It is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The course curriculums are designed in such a way that they enhance the academic experience via possibilities such as research facilities, foreign study programmes, and internships. The electrical department has produced engineers who have contributed to the development of national and international industries.

Eligibility: Any candidate who has passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is eligible to apply for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test.

Admission process: Students need to apply at mahacet.org for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test. According to the cutoffs set by the state government, the candidates who have cleared the exam can apply for admission. Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Engineering

About college: Established in 2007, MMCOE is a college run by the Marathwada Mitra Mandal Trust. The college is AICTE approved and is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. It offers five undergraduate and two postgraduate programs. Along with core academics, students are also encouraged to actively participate in co-curricular activities. The Department of Electrical Engineering is accredited by NBA, New Delhi.

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed 10+2 examinations with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science, and should have scored a minimum of 45% (40% for OBC/SC/ST) marks. Also, a non-zero(positive) score in JEE Mains or MHT CET is a must.

AISSMS Institute of Information Technology

About college: The institute was established in August 1999. Approved by AICTE and DTE, it is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The electrical department has an intake of 60 students and boasts of ten spacious laboratories with the latest technology. It also has a special departmental library, well-equipped AV/project rooms, staff cabins, and a separate administrative area.

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed 10+2 examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible to apply for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test.

Zeal College of Engineering and Research

About college: It was established in 2007 under the Zeal Educational Society. It offers six Undergraduate and five Postgraduate programmes. It has also been a PhD research centre since 2013  under Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune (SPPU). With an intake of 120 students, the Electrical Department has been brightening students’ lives with the help of an experienced faculty. It houses a well-equipped laboratory with the latest technology on transformers, motors, generators, etc.

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed 10+2 examinations with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science and should have scored a minimum of 50% (45% for OBC/SC/ST) marks. Also, a non-zero(positive) score in JEE Mains or Maharashtra CET is a must.
